“Thanks to his clever moves last summer and his astute trades during the season, Sutter proved to be the kind of successful leader the Flames had been searching for since GM Cliff Fletcher guided the franchise to the 1989 Stanley Cup Championship,” writes the Globe and Mail’s Tim Wharnsby.

The annual Achievement Awards Presentation Luncheon also saw the presentation of Achievement Awards to two legends of Canadian sports journalism, Jane O’Hara and Don Chevrier, recognizing their noteworthy careers in the profession. Awards were also presented recognizing outstanding work over the past twelve months in sports writing, sports broadcasting and sports photojournalism.

Details on each of the Awards and their recipients is available in the Awards section of this website.
