After nine years working for The Toronto Globe and Mail, Steve McAllister has left to accept the Managing Editor – Sports position with Yahoo! Canada.

McAllister, who spent eight years as the sports editor for Canada’s national newspaper before working for the past 14 months as Editor of the newspaper’s growing sports website globesports.com, will be in charge of giving Yahoo! a larger, more Canadian-focused online sports product with a heavy emphasis on hockey. McAllister begins his new duties December 14 at Yahoo! Canada’s offices in Toronto.
He remains active with Sports Media Canada continuing in his role as President of the volunteer, non-profit association of Canadian sports journalists.
