CFL Becomes Official Sports Media Canada Sponsor

The CFL is the latest sports organization to offer its support to Sports Media Canada, becoming a 2011 – 2012 sponsor underlining the leagueʼs ongoing interest in quality sports journalism and its significant place in the life and culture of our nation.

Jamie Dykstra of the CFL and George Gross, Jr., representing Sports Media Canada completed arrangements for the sponsorship and signed the formal documents, followed by the traditional handshake marking the agreement.

George Gross, Jr. assists Sports Media Canada marketing following in the footsteps of his illustrious father who was not only one of Canadaʼs leading sports columnists and editors – but also the founding president of Sports Media Canada. George Gross, with Don Goodwin, created Sports Media Canada 20 years ago and subsequently established the annual Sports Media Canada Achievement Awards to identify and celebrate high quality and excellence in Canadian Sports Journalism.
