Tennis Masters Canada tournament director Stacey Allaster, also Tennis Canada’s Sales and Marketing VP, gave Sports Media Canada an ‘in progress’ look at the new Rexall Tennis Centre, under construction on the York University grounds. The new stadium will be ‘handed over’ to Tennis Canada by the contractor PCL Construction Canada, in early June which should give Stacey and her Tennis Canada staff and volunteers enough time to dress up the site for the July 24 to August 1st Tennis Masters Canada 2004 tournament. Sports journalists will be pleased, indeed, with an assignment to cover tennis in Toronto in future. The spacious media work centre, the large interview room, convenient and easily accessed seating in the stadium, eating facilities, ease of entry and departure — all will contribute to improved working conditions and more effective execution of their assignment for all photographers, radio, TV, press and web journalists at the new Rexall Centre.
